Lady Gaga’s Debut on American Horror Story: Hotel

Hold on to your seats AHS fans, it looks like the biggest monster of all is to join next season’s cast–Lady Gaga.

So far it has been quite a year for Ms. Gaga, or soon-to-be Mrs. Kinney. On Valentine’s Day, her long-time boyfriend Taylor Kinney, star of NBC’s Chicago Fire, proposed, and unsurprisingly, she said, “Yes.”

Last year, many people called her career dead after she released the very colorful album ARTPOP, which didn’t do so well. However, just recently she has made quite a change in the music industry.

At the Oscars, Gaga honored The Sound of Music by gracefully singing a four-song medley for the movie’s 50th anniversary. Gaga received much praise from 79-year-old Julie Andrews, the original star of the film, and surprised most of the audience with a breathtaking performance.

Now, she has decided to switch things up and take a break from music. She has created quite a buzz on social media after she tweeted, “Make your reservation now,” confirming American Horror Story’s fifth season and revealing its title American Horror Story: Hotel. Gaga has always been a fan of AHS’s creator, Ryan Murphy, and strongly praised his other popular show Glee. So, there is a chance this season might be a musical one.

Aside from being in cameos in Machete Kills, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Muppets Most Wanted, and some television shows, this will be her first project where she stars recurrently and doesn’t portray herself.

If you’ve seen any of the “Born This Way” star’s music videos, you know how edgy and eccentric they are. And if you’ve paid close attention to her monologues, there is no doubt she is a solid actress.

Details on her role are still being kept hush–hush. But judging from past seasons, it is guaranteed to be creepy. The show will be airing in October, so stay tuned.
